The objective of Test Bed is to evaluate and measure the performance of the multimedia applications (VoIP and Video conferencing applications) based on ITU-T recommended H.323 protocol that operate on the satellite channel, with the different configurable satellite channel parameters like BER, Delay etc.
The system evaluates the performance on the basis of the configuration selected for the different configurations possible for the Inter-networking Multimedia parameters like (Audio/Video Codecs, Bandwidth Management, Jitter Buffer, Satellite Error Models etc.).
The system is focusing on the multicast based multimedia applications and also supports implementing the unicast and broadcast based multimedia communication over the satellite channel.
Application is developed using underlying OpenSource Technology.
Test Bed Application for Satellite Network Protocol is essentially a Satellite Channel Emulation Test Bed, which is a platform to study the behavior and evaluate the performance of multicast based Multimedia applications that operates on satellite channels.
